Time For A Wake Up Call--What Are you going to Do?

William's Note: Seeing that Congress killed CAPSII yesterday when Secretary Ridge had spoken earlier in the week that Al Qaida planned to use airplanes again--drove home to me one inescapable conclusion--we are reaching a time when we, the citizenry may be forced to protect ourselves. Political correctness and special interest groups are more interested in ideology than your safety. With the growing stories of loose nukes and other WMD acquisition, we need to use every means possible to get the word out and become vigilant.

By William Webb

"…We have the right to kill four million Americans-two million of them children-and to exile twice as many and wound and cripple hundreds of thousands. Furthermore, it is our right to fight them with chemical and biological weapons." Suleiman Abu Gheith, former Kuwaiti schoolteacher, mosque imam, and Al-Qaida member

It is time to read, listen, and most importantly of all, understand:

You are the target of radical, Muslim extremists who are funded by wealthy patrons and governments across the globe. As a CIA report stated, these extremists are dedicated to carrying out "mass-casualty operations" against you and other civilians of Western countries.

"Mass casualty" serving as a politically correct synonym for mass murder.

A number of Islamic web sites and Al Jazeera television carried a sermon in February 2003 purportedly from "Sheik" Osama bin Laden during the Feast of the Sacrifice, the most important holiday in the Muslim year. The speech exhorts Muslims to murder. "It [the Islamic nation] should toughen itself and prepare itself for real life, a life of killing and war, of shooting and hand-to-hand combat…. You should know that seeking to kill Americans and Jews everywhere in the world is one of the greatest duties [for Muslims], and the good deed most preferred by Allah, the Exalted."

In a September 2003 interview with a White House staff homeland security person, they told me that the administration fears a chemical or biological strike is an "extreme probability." They said the war on terror would continue to be the administrations top priority. "It is not time to grow complacent. It is not time to forget the lesson of September 11."

As the horror of the mass murders fades, many find it easy to dismiss bin Laden and Al-Qaida as a small group of fanatics, an aberration that will be defeated or fade away.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Al-Qaida is just a part of the movement. The world is witnessing a global jihad and "Islamic awakening" that is gaining momentum throughout the Muslim world.

Wealthy patrons and governments worldwide finance and support it. Muslims are joining this war daily by the thousands. Contrary to the pronouncements of spokespeople and pundits in our government, media and academia, it is a war between two very different civilizations: One stands for a government that requires the separation of church and state. One believes the church should be the state.

As Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci writes, "the clash between us and them is not a military clash. Oh, no. It is a cultural one, a religious one. And our military victories do not solve the offensive of Islamic terrorism. They exacerbate it. They multiply it.

"The worst is still to come."

When you understand that the initial plan of 9/11 "was to crash the hijacked jets into nuclear power plants," you can begin to understand the war in which you are now a participant. Muslim extremists are waging a war to kill you and as many members of Western democracies as they possibly can.

They are waging the war directly as Al-Qaida does, carrying out murder and mayhem worldwide. More importantly, they are waging a "Fifth Column" or "Trojan horse" insurgency that uses the freedom-loving cultures of countries like the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, Canada, Spain, Australia, and others to spread hatred and intolerance under the guise of freedom of speech and religious expression.

Several operational blueprints exist-one, a manual for terrorists captured in a raid by English police on a Manchester apartment building-that outlines the means by which Muslim terrorists may infiltrate Western societies. Besides the terrorizing and killing, there is a highly sophisticated propaganda effort aimed at legal, educational, and media institutions. The terrorists hide behind your basic civil rights, freedoms of expression, and freedom of religion.

The manual clearly states, "the confrontation that we are calling for with the apostate regimes does not know Socratic debates, Platonic ideals, nor Aristolean diplomacy. But it knows the dialogue of bullets, the ideals of assassination, bombing and destruction, and the diplomacy of the machine gun.

"Islamic governments have never and will never be established through peaceful solutions and cooperative councils. They are established as they always have been by pen and gun, by word and bullet, by tongue and teeth." On a subsequent page the manual's author writes, "an Islamic government will never be established except by the bomb and the rifle. Islam does not coincide or make a truce with unbelief, but rather confronts it."

This confrontation frequently involves violence, intimidation, and often murder of people who dare stand up to either the terror or insurgency. Wall Street Journal reporter Danny Pearl was murdered for his investigative work. Author and Wahhabism expert Stephen Schwartz and investigative reporter Steven Emerson have both received death threats and intimidation from Muslims at speaking events.

A Muslim hit team actually dispatched on Emerson after an airing of his 1994 PBS documentary, "Jihad In America." He still follows security precautions most people in Western democracies can't comprehend.

If you are one of those who can't comprehend or accept the danger you face, read chapter four to understand how terrorists plan to assassinate people who disagree with them and call for an assault against thinkers, journalists and activists who oppose them.

At the very least, you can expect to be savaged by Muslim organizations such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations, CAIR, who view any opposition to Muslim terrorism as "Islamophobic attacks" and "an on-going right-wing campaign to demonize Muslims and Islam."

So, not only can you expect to be labeled an Islamophobe, racist, Muslim-hater, tool of the Jews, crusader, and a sower of religious disunity, but you can expect Nazi-like intimidation under the guise of freedom of religion for exercising your guaranteed rights.

People in the West must decide whether their fundamental principles concerning government, culture, and civilization are worth preserving. More importantly, citizens of those and other free countries must decide the delicate balance between living safely and the clash of counterintelligence and counterterrorism operational necessities. Basic ideas about privacy, freedoms of religion and expression, and the role of government in identifying, tracking, and stopping terrorists must be evaluated. We must find a way to remain both safe and free.

This threat is not going to go away in your lifetime. The threat is not going to go away because you are too busy to challenge it. Complacency is not an option whether in dealing with the outright terror or with the religious insurgency.

Muslim terrorists are using the freedoms of Western societies to wage a guerrilla-like insurgency with the ultimate goal of the destruction of those societies and the establishment of Al-Kilafah, an Islamic world state. They are also planning on you becoming a Muslim either by choice or by force and submitting to sharia, where the laws of Allah would replace the Constitution. However, Americans are not the only targets. If you are a Jew or Christian, Buddhist or a Hindu, or follow any religion other than Islam living anywhere in the world, you are a target as well. You are a member of dar al Harb, the domain of disbelief. You are harbi, an infidel.

Even being a Muslim is not good enough to keep you off the target list. You have to adhere to an extremely narrow and strict faith and accept the jihadists' interpretations of Islam.

One of those beliefs is that Muslims cannot befriend non-Muslims.

According to one Saudi author, Muslims negate their faith by "befriending the unbelievers, through loving and cooperating with them while knowing they are unbelievers, makes those who are their friends the same as them."

Muslims are told that "the unbelievers, idolaters, and others like them must be hated and despised…we must stay away from them and create barriers between us and them."

These type of "thought bombs," contained in books paid for by a foundation controlled by Saudi King Fahd's father-in-law, and distributed in the United States by the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) and the Institute for Islamic and Arabic Sciences (IIASA) are just as, if not more dangerous than, a suicide bomber on a bus in New York or Washington.

These thought bombs are part of both psychological operations outlined directly within the Al-Qaida training manual and elements of systematic, state-supported attacks on non-Islamic governments and religions.

They are the theories that precede the actions.

As Egyptian journalist Dr. Muhammad Abbas, wrote in the Egyptian newspaper Al-Sha'ab following September 11, "The genius of what happened is in its successful transformation from theory to practice. If people are willing to sacrifice their lives, how can America defend itself from these human bombs who at any given moment, anywhere, can cause a truck and a train to collide, set a gas station alight, and set off chemical, biological, and even atomic bombs?"

The theory is martyrdom. The theory is jihad. The theory is a world dominated by Islam.

Again, contrary to all statements from our government, we are in a war that is fully supported, funded, and carried out by members of one specific religion.

No, the Mormons have not provided their bicycle-riding missionaries with Ricin or bioweapons. Neither have the Roman Catholics, Greek Orthodox, Episcopalians, Buddhists, Hindus, or the Assembly of God, Seventh Day Adventists, Baptists, Methodists, or Churches of Christ started nuclear or biological weapons programs.

According to the Al-Qaida handbook, "The member of the Organization must be Muslim. How can an unbeliever, someone from a revealed religion (Christian, Jew), a secular person, a communist, etc, protect Islam and Muslims and defend their goals and secrets when he does not believe in that religion [Islam]?"

These are Muslim extremists. They have declared war on the dar al Harb, which includes most of the civilized world.

As Sami Amin Al-Arian, former University of South Florida professor who, along with Ramadan Shallah, another USF professor, ran Palestine Islamic Jihad (PIJ) from his offices in Tampa, told an audience in Cleveland, "continue to damn America, continue to damn Israel, and continue to damn the allies of America and Israel until death."

Mr. Al-Arian also told the same group that, "Going to the Holy Land is not a matter of going for a visit or tourism; rather, it is a matter of going for jihad."

Ayatullah Morteza Mutahhari discusses this need and legitimacy for jihad in a book that is one of many publications sponsored by theIranian government during the annual Daheh-ye Fajr, "Ten-Day Dawn Celebrations," commemorating the Islamic Revolution of 1979.

According to Mutahhari, "Islam is a religion that sees it as its duty and commitment to form an Islamic state. Islam came to reform society and to form a nation and government. Its mandate is the reform of the whole world. Such a religion cannot be indifferent. It cannot be without a law of jihad. In the same way, its government cannot be without an army. While the scope of Christianity is extremely limited, that of Islam is extremely wide. While Christianity does not cross the frontiers of advice, Islam is a religion, which covers all the activities of human life. It has laws, which govern the society, economic laws, and political laws. It came to organize a state, to organize a government. Once this done, how can it remain without an army? How can it be without a law of jihad?"

While the meaning and uses of jihad are debated and disagreed upon within Islam, the meaning of jihad is "war" for those jihadists and states dedicated to the destruction of the West. This war can come from the sword or word, but don't be deceived: You are the target of a war that is being fought now, on your soil.

None other than Ayatollah Khomeini warned: "The governments of the world should know that Islam cannot be defeated. Islam will be victorious in all the countries of the world, and Islam and the teachings of the Koran will prevail all over the world."

Many Americans mocked Khomeini then, yet President Jimmy Carter's emasculated response to Khomeini's successor's abduction of 52 Americans for 444 days is today held as an example of American weakness throughout the Muslim world.

The jihadists believe Allah is on their side, and they plan to wage war until they are victorious against the decadent and cowardly West.
